Yearbook Theme

The first issue to address is our yearbook theme, which begs the question: do you know what a yearbook theme is?

I suggest you read this article to familiarize or refresh your understanding of yearbook themes. You can also look at this list of examples.

Here is your assignment, due by August 10: List at least three sincere theme ideas as a comment under this post.

Feel free to engage each other in discussion as people start sharing their ideas.

  7. The end's where it begins.

I'm not for sure but most, if not all, the kids on the yearbook staff this year will be seniors. This would be the idea that it's an end to a period of our life but it's really just the beginning. Also. There has been a lot of hype about 2012 and it would fall right along into that

    We will be...

We all know who we have been and what we have become but what we will be is completely up to us.

    COEXIST

This could go worldly or as Vikings. I liked emmas idea on the travel theme. I think we're at a point in society that we need to realize we are the change...it starts with the kids. its up to us to be open, truthful and exist as one.

I also thought it would be neat to do a technology theme to kind of remind us of where things were when we started high school around '06. I'm not sure if there would be any way to do that but I like youtubes slogan; broadcast yourself. It would be neat to have a theme like that and have the pages be "web"pages.

  9. Take A Step Back-
While the senior class of 2010 are graduating and starting something new, I think the yearbook is just a time to step back and think about and look at what we all had. Its a time to remember what was and think about what is going to be. So while we're moving foward, when the yearbook comes out we can take some time to just take a step back.

    Our Kodak Moments-
During the year there is so much that happens. And it is impossible to catch everything on film. But theres those moments that we just have to capture. So the yearbook is a colletion of the Viking's kodak moments.

    The Good Times-
While high school may be stressful and tough at times, overall high school is full of good times. Fun with friends, dances, being there to witness our football team break a very long losing streak, assemblies, and much much more. So while we move on with our lives we want to remember that high school was great. And for those who are still going to be in high school after this year, they may be feeling a little discouraged if it seems hard, stressful, or dramtic and I think that its a good thing to remind everyone that these are the good times and we should enjoy them while their here.

I also like the theme "True Life: I go to Parkview High School" and I also liked the idea of having an internet theme and having the pages be "web" pages.
